Dive Bombing Canada Goose
Dive Bombing Canada Goose Above, the dive-bombing goose, still airborne, makes for the photographer as excited children scatter. (Herald / Joyce Hunt) Photographer Joyce Hunt was enjoying a soccer tournament Saturday at the Stockbridge school, that featured youngsters from Rochester, Bethel, and Stockbridge. She took time to photograph a lone Canadian goose overhead that seemed to be circling the field, squawking. Moments later, the goose headed for the field, zooming in agressively and sending soccer kids running in every direction in alarm and amusement. After it cleared the field of pesky humans, it strutted with wings extended. Then, Hunt said, it merely "strolled off the field" before taking off. "Who would have thought such a thing," the amazed photographer said Wednesday as she dropped off her startling photos.
